Thats a Bugsgear Eleuke, rebranded as Kala.
Mike Upton at Kala told me that he doesn't produce them anymore, so that's just a remaining stock from the brief time he did.
I imagine that they will be exactly the same as Bugsgear Eleuke.
There are plenty of examples of their sound on youtube if you search.
I have one, which is branded as Eleuke (the original brand).
It came with a high action, which I sanded down. The second fret on the C string sounds a bit sharp (is there an easy fix for this?
). Otherwise its a lovely looking, super portable/durable electric ukulele that sounds fantastic through amplification.
The rebranded Kala may have better quality, and I'm sure MGM would adjust it to optimum playability.
I have loads of fun plugging it into a guitar amp and getting it to sound like an electric guitar with distortion and effects.
It also gives a very clean, acoustic signal too.
