I had a few requests for the specs on the 50th state ukes from Kanile'a in another post. Joe gave me the go ahead to post the specs and a few people had asked for them. I have the pricing info as well but given the nature of these I would expect that you would be better off calling Kristan and confirming.

EMAIL EXCERPT.

Hope all is well. We have put together the price for the Signature
Series 50th State commemorative ʻUkulele.

These are the full details: (available in Tenor, Concert & Soprano)

4 String
Premium Select Curly Koa 5A Back, Sides, Sound Board & Head Plate
Ebony Fret Board (no front position markers)
Inlay of Hawaiian Flag on Fret board around 14th fret
Rosette inlay with Lanikai Hawaiian Beach Sand of the State Motto
Black Ebony front binding
Lanikai sand logo inlaid on headstock
Black Nickel Closed Geared Grover Tuners with Black wooden buttons
Wooden engraved label with each individual serial number
Numbered coffee table book with history and photos of the ʻukuleles
building process
Special Hard Shell Case

Pricing is more then fair given in spec's, Joe will have photos eventually. I personally am a little on the fence. I want a concert in this spec but think personally a S.Tenor will look better.

Thanks for the update. From the specs, I imagine a mighty fine looking ukulele and knowing it is a Kanilea it will sound just as good.

As cool as it would be to have one of these instruments I have a feeling they are a bit out of my price range at this time.

Thanks for the update. I think it'll be more of a collectors item because of the number made. Yea, they'll be played but in a limited capacity. Can't wait to see pics of what it will look like.

What is the Lanikai sand?

I'm a huge Kanile'a fan - I can't wait to see pics of this!
