I won an Open Mic Night!

Last night we had a big open mic night on campus, 18 performers. And needless to say.. I was the only one on ukulele :)

I've played open mics before but never placed or anything, but last night I must have won over the judges because I got first place! Waiting for a nice 100$ check to come in the mail :D

I played Jack Johnson's Breakdown and everyone's favorite Mariah Carey's Touch My Body. Touch My Body was a reall hit, made everyone laugh and smile (probably b/c I'm a tall white guy with a tiny instrument singing a song with pretty filthy lyrics haha).

Anyway, just wanted to share with you all!

How AWESOME! You can now probably be an opening act...ukulele's are cool and they make people smile! Great Job!!:eek:
 
Way cool man! The prize money is a plus, but remember its all about the music! Nice job though :)
