Bridge dimensions

I just used that exact bridge with out giving any thought to it's thickness. I just tapered the sides a bit and did some finish sanding, and then glued it down. It turned out to be about an 1/8" too tall for my uke and I now need to correct it unfortunately. This was my mistake for not checking it prior to installing it.

All my previous builds where I made my own bridges I thicknessed them to the same hieght as my fretboard which worked for me and I ended up having the strings break at about a 45 degree angle over the back of the saddle, which I think is what you want to drive maximum energy from the string into sound board. Experts can correct me.

I build with the neck in the same plane as the top. If your (uke) neck angles back or forwards appreaciably my method may not work.

good luck,
