Suppose its cos I'm really a guitar player, and thats how I strum on those when not using a pick.
 
That was nice. You played it differently than all the tabs I've found on the internet. Did you piece that together yourself?

I stole your strum last night hope you don't mind. We were listening to the Chieftains and I was playing the Bodhran. When I put in a CD Chieftains recorded in Nashville it was old time and bluegrass done with Irish instruments.
Went for the old 20's banjouke- trash find- and used your strum to play along. I've never seen anyone strum like that before. I'm really jazzed to use it at the old time and bluegrass festivals next summer.

That's good Paul, an original take on that lovely old song. I'm old enough to remember it from before Patience & Prudence murdered it. In it's original form it was quite slow, and came out feeling moody, and a bit dark, and even creepy.

I've got an original sheet music version from way back when, that I found in a junk shop.
