Hey there. I know that technically I'm not new, but I've only just started using my account again. So I decided to underwhelm you all with knowledge of my return.

Anyway, I live in Edinburgh and I'm a student. Started playing the ukulele as a novelty and now I think its one of the most fun things to do on a wet afternoon (unbelievably, Scotland does have them  )

I'm still learning but if you want to say hi or something or offer any advice then cool.

Bye!

Welcome to UU!

I will. :p I'll try and convince Frnaz Ferdinand of the joys of Ukulele. I'm not sure how that will pan out.

Ok i know I bring rain but I also bring.... Ummm... *looks around*

This tin off spam :spam:

I bet some JAMC or Teenage Fanclub would translate to the uke though. Some Delgados even.

Welcome back! Ukes and wet afternoons do play nicely together, don't they?

Yep. Ukes while staring out at the rain really brightens my day.

And excuse my dimness but JAMC?

So far Ive done Muse and Johnny Cash on my youtube channel. I'm thinking about some Arcade Fire but it may be quite hard. Some Beautiful South would be just grand as well.

Hmm. Not sure.

Greeting from another part of scotland (Glasgow... you know, if you want to pay me a visit)

Always good to hear from other people from scotland on here, havn't really came accross many. That may b ebecause i've been hidden away over the past 6 months doing some pretty damn boring Uni work which has eaten into critical Uke time. Which has left me somewhat rusty =[

Anyway instead of starting a new thread when theres already a Scotland one i just thought i'd say hey.

So... Hey ;)

Hey. How's about setting up Scotlands first mainstream Uke based band? Sounds like a plan. :D

6 months doing uni work? 3rd or 4th year by any chance? What are you studying?

It's nice to know Im not the only scottish uke player.

Yeah man, sounds like a plan! :D lol

3rd year... a deadly combination of European politics, Political ideologies and for some reason a history of work and leisure in victorian Britain. (sucks the life from you)

i know of a few other uke players in and around glasgow... we should just arrange a massive gathering, with all like 9 of us. haa haa.

Painful. I do politics myself. although as a lowly 2nd year nothing to spcialised yet.

I wish there were more of us. I'd love to do a flash mob of ukulele players.

Awesomes man, what Uni are you at?

Theres an image, 1000 ukuleles marching through Princes street haa haa!

University of Edinburgh. Are you at Glasgow Uni?

I would love for that to happen. Or invade Waverely Station.
We'll just have to sgtart it off, me and you and hope it grows.:D
