Help?

I'm going to buy a new concert uke this week, and I'm completely torn between two different models.

I know I want a Pono. I have looked at a lot of ukes and have plans to explore other brands in the future but this one is going to be a Pono.

But I need help choosing between these two models.

Should I get:
- The less frilly, couple year old Pono PKC-1 in solid koa?
- The newer, fancier, spruce/mahogany Pono PCS?

I love the look of both, I can't get to play either before I buy them, and I do want both a koa and spruce at some point in life, so both are quite exciting.

The PCS has a few more styling additions here and there such as an abalone rosette, purfling, binding, ebony headstock and some really nice tuners. The front is solid spruce and the back and sides are solid mahogony.

The PKC is plainer in terms of decoration, with no purfling or binding and just a simple rope rosette, but is made of a nice piece of koa, which is good looking in itself.

I just can't make up my mind - they both fall in my budget, I have two separate stockists able to ship as soon as I order, and I like them both for different reasons - help!

Neither is made any longer, so both pretty hard to come by.

How's the build quality of yours? What ballpark price were you looking at?

They certainly look nice in video/photos - as does the spruce/ebony...
