Can anyone tell me the chords or individual notes to the intro and the little riff at the end of each chorus, I think they are the same, of The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down? Thanks.

If you're talking about the riff I think you're talking about, it goes something like this...

JJ, thanks for this. I tried it and it sounded prettty good except the G#/Ab didn't sound quite right. It may be due to a few factors, i.e. tunig, timing, practice, etc. I'm really new, so what other note should I try? Like I said, it may just be me so bare with me here please. Thanks.

I suppose you could either leave it out (just play a rest there, or tie over the previous note... this is actually what the piano part seems to do a lot of the time), or play an A (so that the A is played twice).
But I'm pretty sure the Band plays it with the G#. At least that's what it sounds like to me from this video (21 seconds in... listen to the horns). See what you think.
