Two months ago - September 2009 my buddies from Seattle Casey MacGill's Blue 4 Trio were on tour in the Midwest. They spent a few days at my house between gigs.
You all know Casey from the Portland Uke Fest and countless swing gigs over the years in the Pacific Northwest and West Coast.
We recorded these two tunes in my living room with a single Zoom H4N handheld recorder. No rehearsal, all first takes, all acoustic except for the lap steel.
Casey MacGill - uke, cornet, lead vocals. Matt Weiner - bass, vocals. Mike Daugherty - snare drum, vocals. Gerald Ross - 1954 Fender Champion Lap Steel in C6 tuning.
