Well last Christmas I found my mom's old Uke and a beginner book on a rainy day out in my garage and from then on I have just been fiddling around with the Uke!

It has been almost a year since then and I have upgraded from that toy Uke to a Makala MK-T which I have been VERY pleased with.

Before Uke I was already a musician playing Trombone, Euphonium, and the occasional Piano! I basically stared on the Uke looking forward to upgrading to a guitar, but now I look at the guitar as a side project as I am now HOOKED on the Uke.

I found other Uke-ers around my school and now we plan jam days during our lunch hour.

I basically just transcribe and strum along to my favorite mainstream/classic rock songs and the occasional Hawaiian tune. I am looking forward to exploring this community and hopefully learning alot :D

C yall around!

Welcome to UU :) That's a great story. You may never have ended up playing the uke if it hadn't rained that day! Glad to have you with us.
