Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a way to quickly write down songs containing lyrics & chord shapes, mostly to remember songs (can you imagine, I'm beginning to forget how to play my own songs!!!) and to share them with others.

Are you using MS-Word to do this? Where do you get the chord shape images from? (I had the idea of scanning all the shapes from an uke book and then copying and pasting these above the lyrics. But maybe there's an easier/better way to do this?)

If you want to see an example of what kind of notation I mean, please take a look at the songs on this site (which is excellent IMHO):

I ran across this app some time ago and never got around using it. It's called Chordette. Check it out and let me know how it works.

I find it easiest just to use fret numbers over the chords - that way you can write your charts using any old word processor.

Code:
0202 0000 2223 0222 0212
Em7 Am7 D7 Gmaj7 G7
Fly me to the moon, and let me play among the stars

Just use a mono-spaced font like Courier, and it's easy to line up the chords and the fret numbering.
