I have a lanikai tenor 21-T that i've been playing on the original strings about 2 years. I've heard that low G string will sound awesome on the tenors. My orginal configuration came with a a wound C string. What brand of low G string would you use and would it have too much tension on my bridge?

thanks for the advice. this is going to be the first time I'm changing out the strings. So did u just keep the C string (GHS) and change out the G,E, and A strings to the Ko'olau golds? Or did you just change em all?

i switched out all the strings. may as well start with some fresh new ones.

my original GHS strings were wound 3rd and 4th and nylon 1st and 2nd.

my new ko'olau golds are wound 4th and the rest are nylon. hope that helps.

yeah i should change my strings on my Lanikai LU-21T same ukulele right??

So ill probably end up buying the same strings once you choose :)

yup yup...thanks to aldrine....for putting up that vid on how to change strings. I was getting worried there for a moment. I'm going to purchase the Ko'olau golds low wound G & and wound C. Does anybody have this set up already?
