So here is my question to the experts out there.
I have a bit of sheet music that is in A Major I know this as it has 3 #'s on the staff.
I am trying to transpose the melody notes to tab so I can pick the notes.
So refering to the A major scale I find that the notes on this scale only cover 1 octave so they only cover half of a music staff.
On my piece of sheet music the notes go higher up on the staff than a single octave scale...
So do I just start the scale over again and keep going so I can use all 6 strings and 5 lines on the staff matching the notes and strings on the fretboard map?
A MAJOR = A B C# D E F# G# A ((A) B C# D E F# G# A) would I repeat the A note?
