I was a mentor with the Leukemia Lymphoma Society's Team-in-Training (TNT) walk/run team for the San Francisco East Bay. Every team gets a name. The 2009 Fall team is "Team Ecstatic." During one run, me and a friend were trying to come up with as many words that rhymed with "Ecstatic" as possible (you do silly things to pass the time when you are running 10 miles). The is how this song evolved.
This song originally started as a gansta rap. Believe me (despite the video evidence) it sounds better as a reggae song!
There're quite a few inside jokes, mostly revolving around things that our coach would say. I tried to explain all that in the sidebar.
