Holy crud.

I still have lots of finals until the 10th, but now that is christmas time I am just dying to play christmas songs. I just conquered Aldrine's "Christmas Song" arrangement (thanks to Dominator for the awesome Tutorial!) and I am enjoying making my own arrangements of others.

So far I am working on:

Jingle Bell Rock
Frosty the Snowman
Rudolf the Rednose Reindeer

I love the simplicity of these songs, it makes for a good time jamming. Is anyone else working on christmas times to get into that holiday mood? :)

I'm thinking of doing Joni Mitchell's "The River." It's not a Christmas song by the rigid definition, but I think it will be cool.

Can't wait to hear your arrangements, dude.

Count me in!

Some of the songs I have out of old music books are chocked full of chord changes (each word, or every other word, has a chord change). My fingers don't move that fast yet, so some of these are a good challenge.

"I'll be home for christmas" has always been a favorite of mine.. I might just have to work out a hip new reharmonization and record it.. lol

I dug out my couple of Christmas tune books on Turkey day....

Jumpin Jim's - Happy Holidays
Christmas Ukulele, Hawaiian Style

It's a drag having to relearn songs you don't play often but at least they come back quick!!!!
