...I particularly like the thumbs-up photo. Have fun.
That's my daughter in that pic. She's a chip off the ol' block--loves getting in pictures.
Comments as promised after playing it for about 2 hours:
Case-Too darn cute. Excellent quality, uke fits perfectly.
Finish, quality, setup, aesthetics--all excellent imo. It sounds exactly like what I hear in my mind when I think of a traditional sounding ukulele (keep in mind I'm no expert). Good sustain, volume; notes ring sweetly.
The matte finish is beautiful--I've never been a big fan of high gloss finishes on acoustic guitars. I had some concerns about whether I'd like the amber/chrome friction tuners but that has vanished. They work, no issues there.
Rope binding--classy looking. The pictures on the Mainland website just don't do it justice.
This uke sounds beautiful and is a joy to play--at any price. But, sadly, it's now packed away until Festivus.
A tip of the hat to Mike and Tookta at Mainland. They run a super business, with fantastic instruments at great prices. Thanks, guys.
