What video format do most of you use to upload to Youtube?
How big is the average file that you are uploading?
I have been using Windows Movie Maker. Probably not the best program, but it's what I've got.
1. I've had difficulty importing video into WMM. My files are .AVI and are pulled directly from the video card from my camera. I get sound, but no video content.
2. I succeeded in importing the video by saving it or converting it somehow with a program called Blaze Media Pro. Unfortunately it does not seem to have the editing tools that I am used to using, so I edit in WMM.
3. I have a decent finished product saved as WMM project file. But if you have worked with WMM, you know you have to "publish" the file, and then it is saved as .AVI or similar format. When I do this it produces a file that is huge. About 500 mgb. This huge file will not upload to Youtube.
4. I tried compressing the file when I published it from WMM. When I did, I lost the video content.
Anybody experience similar problems or know why my vid isn't working?
