I built a semi hollow electric tenor uke and am thinking of stringing it up with steel strings for a magnetic pickup versus nylon. Does anyone have a suggestion on gauges?

Here are the string sizes from my teardrop electric Tenor ukulule
Tenor Ukulele 0.009 / 0.011 / 0.016 / 0.010” /(0.024wound)
You may have to play with gauges to fit your playing style, as you would on an electric guitar.
Good luck!!

Thanks. So, you have a five string? Is that common with an electric uke? I haven't drilled for tuners so a fifth string would be doable. What is the fifth tuned to?

Sorry, that string size in brackets is just for the wound low G option, I just cut and pasted the data from my notes, Low G or High G, the choice is yours!
