Hi everyone,

I bought a transducer to put on the back of a novelty uke of mine. It picks up the resonance from the wood of the ukulele instead of acting like a microphone and picking up sound. It works fine, but I would like to muffle the typical ukulele sound so that almost all one would hear when listening to the amplified and distorted ukulele would be the sound coming from my amp, not the sound resonating from the ukulele.

I assume that I would be able to just cover the sound hole with a piece of wood or something similar, but I wanted to check with the members of this forum to see if this will work or if there are better ways of doing this.

Thanks!

You could just go low tech and stuff the body with t-shirts, like Tony Gamble...
