Seeso, who know s what kind of tine it is...just figure its some plain looking cookie tin.

some people are just really into working with tins...its easier than wood. I know some guys that started with tins because it was easier and just never moved to boxes.

I was just inspired. Seeso, what you need is a hubcap uke...like them old Appalachian hubcap banjos. Just a jump from banjolele to a hubcap

It might be a movie film canister. Hard to tell without seeing how deep it is.
Looks like whoever it was building it, got tired making frets.

The photo before seems to be the back and according to Google's ranslation tool, the caption translates to, "35mm film box 300m"

35mm film was "invented" for the movie industry.
