So I thought Pegheds were unique...

They look identical to Pegheds. I was hoping they didn't have that funky push-pull tension issue but apparently they do. I think Pegheds are well made, look good, but over priced and function poorly.
They definitely cost more than "Pegheds". One US dollar equals $1.09 Australian dollar. I'm not a fan at any price.

All the customers who have specified pegheds when ordering custom ukuleles from me seem to be very pleased with them. I haven't had one complaint.

For regular style headstocks, pegheds are chosen more frequently than any other tuner. For slotted headstocks, the Gilberts are the most common choice.

In the openback geared tuner department, i like the Gotoh UK700 on regular style headstocks too. For friction tuners, the Deluxe Gotohs that Hanalima sells work well. I find the closed back geared tuners with metal buttons like the Gotohs work well but are just a little too heavy on a ukulele unless its a tank.
