Godfather Theme

:) thanks man, it was written by a guy called Nino Rota, he's done loads of film scores, the actual name of the tune is: 'The Godfather (Love theme)' I believe. Though I always refer to my version as the Ukefather but guessing that no one would actually search for that on youtube I changed it back.

I used to play in a dance band in the 70's. The song was called "Speak Softly, Love". We used to play it often.

Thanks for the update on that, I've not heard the vocal before. Yeah the vocal version is called 'Speak Softly, Love' by Larry Kusik and sung by Andy Williams I think. The none vocal composition wasn't given a name as such, just 'The Godfather (Love Theme)'.

Excellent! Love the jazz licks you put into this one. It's an interesting contrast to hear yours and the one posted by WS64. Same song, but very different approaches. Both are very good interpretations.
 
Nice job! I love playing this (but an easier tab) song too.

And, I love that you dressed for the part. That's awesome!
