Yeah :) I was watching PBS well kinda listening to it, anyways this big tall guy white hair white beard was playing a particular Christmas song that I can't remember the name of. Anyways :) I noticed he was using an ukulele just wondering if anyone else caught the program to, I liked his uke I think it was either Tenor or Bari, I think it's more Tenor for some reason. Either way the camera didn't pan in on the headstock so I couldn't really make out the design, but the woodgrain on the body had this kind of look.

But the wood was brighter in color and the lines were more distinguished and were following an angle towards the middle of the Uke so with both sides together it looked like many large "V's" anyone got an idea? I was thinking koa, then Flame Mahogany cause I could have sworn I saw something similar to it in MGM's shop. Then it went off to mango for some reason lol, anyone know?

Edit: If it helps any his name is Michael Mcdonald and was playing it on the program "Soundstage" on Vegas PBS (dunno if its different for other area's) I did a quick google search since the show just ended, he plays Baritone not Tenor. But they said koa but for some reason I don't think it's the same one. It did have a Cutaway so that should help bunches.

Edit edit: lol found the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2wiod5HCpmk

I paused it at the 1:40 and the emblem looks like a Kala. Michael McDonald is a singer/songwriter and the '76 LP "Takin It To The Streets" was his singing debut with The Doobie Brothers.

High Skoo Daze da Doobie Braddahz. Funny how the younger generation doesn't recognize the musicians us old futs grew up wit'. :D

Eh, Ahnko - fo us 'ol futs . . . Michael McDonald and Donald Fagen doing Jackie Wilson's Lonely Teardrops . . . Yea, 'ol guys rule! Should go make one 'ol fut thread, jus fo da hell of it.

Doobie Bros. and Steely Dan? I'm having flashbacks cruising Kalakaua Ave. in my Datsun Truck da boyz in da back, and blasting my 8-track.

Sorry Dude! Da song was written by Berry Gordy and Billy Davis.
LOL! I would be a dudette. ;)

And I was just going off what it said on the PBS site.

"Michael McDonald combines yuletide favorites such as “White Christmas” and the more modern Stevie Wonder Motown classic “What Christmas Means to Me”..."

...When was that statement made? Because they're still selling it on the Kala site. :)

Probably just means they discontinued manufacturing it, but they still have some in stock.
