around here, pho is king. and ramen houses are popping up like crazy now. all good stuff! so many different kinds of noodles, so little time.

it is one word: awesome
you can probably find a cafe pretty easily since i believe there is a vietnamese community in houston. ask around, i'm sure one of your friends will know. basically, it's a giant bowl of vermicelli noodles with beef broth and whatever meat you choose. get the #1 if you want a bit of everything to sample. then you get a plate of uncooked basil, cilantro, bean sprouts, and jalapenos to dump in your soup right before you eat it. then douse everything with some sriracha hot sauce and you have yourself one grubbin' meal. oh yeah, and order a vietnamese ice coffee (cafe sua da), for your week's worth of caffeine.
oh yeah, good for hangovers too!!!
