Any body try them. I'm in the market for new strings for my kala soprano, courtesy of UU contest #1, and remembered seeing adds for raindow wound strings. I remember them as being pricey, and I don't thinks i'd ever consider using them myself, but Im curious...anybody else tried them or heard them?

Here is a page from their web site (http://www.guadalupecustomstrings.com/DOCs/PriceListweb.pdf) that lists the pricing for their strings:

Ukuleles - Our own “Brudda Love” label
“the strings with good vibrations”
Soprano, Concert or Tenor Monofilament Sets $5 per set

Your choice of sets in Red, Green, Blue, Yellow, Pink, Clear, Black or mixed colors
“Brudda Love” wound white Ukulele Strings $10 per set

hand crafted fibre-core wrapped in nylon
“Brudda Love” Rainbow Sets $14 per set

*All wound sets available with silver copper “Low G” string**

Very Beautiful!! These Ukulele strings are hand-crafted fibre nylon wound than hand painted in a rainbow

Are you talking about Guadalupe Custom strings (http://www.guadalupecustomstrings.com/PriceList.htm)? I had a set of the all wound rainbow color strings on my cigar box tenor. Here's a video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0gt8SujD8_Q)with those strings on that uke. I don't normally like wound strings but decided to try them for fun. They sound pretty good. I've since tried another set of strings on that cigar box, but I'll probably put the rainbow strings back on at some point.

Wow that was terrific!! Those strings do sound great, and I don't mind the sound of the fingers slinding up the strings. You did a masterful job with doms arrangement, I hope I can get close to that for a performance I gotta do in June back in Hawaii.

Thanks again
