6 String Questions

I would appreciate some advice on the nut width and string spacing at the bridge. I want to octave the C strings and the G strings. Can I copy a 12 string guitar for the octave measurements between strings or would a uke need more spacing?

I usually start with the normal 4-string spacing and place the doubled strings 1/16" apart. If the 'a' or 'g' are to be doubled, I follow the outside and then space the second string towards the middle of the fret board. For a doubled 'c' or 'e', I space them 1/32" to the left and right of where the single string would normally sit. 1/16" apart is a good place to start. It's far enough apart to keep the strings from buzzing against each other, yet close enough to feel comfortable.
