I joined a while ago, but didn't properly introduce myself. I live on Roanoke Island on the Outer Banks of NC. I'm a getting readytoretire mailman, with a professional musician son who has been my uke teacher (longdistance via Skype) since August. I'm definitely a newbie, but at least I've advanced sufficiently to be stricken with UAS, as I now have soprano and concert Ponos and am awaiting delivery of a tenor Ko'olau. I'm lovin' learning to play, though I'm slightly hampered by arthritis, a left index finger that can't straighten, and no musical experience since high school trombone 50 years ago. Other than that, I'm good to go! I've been learning some slow Beatles songs melodies and chords. So there it is.
