Shhh... it's a secret

For the past couple of days, my elder daughter has been picking up one of my ukuleles and practising "Ain't She Sweet". She's already getting good at her first ukulele song. (She takes guitar lessons, and took to the ukulele like a fish to water when I showed her the relationship of the ukulele's four strings to the guitar's treble strings.) What she doesn't know is that there is a Lanikai LU21 soprano with her name on it under the Christmas tree. She thinks that she is going to have to wait until after her birthday to get a ukulele.

Her sister is getting a blue Makala dolphin.

You're a sneaky bugger, eh? Parenting is such fun.

I stopped by to visit the local Guitar Merchant today and Phil said he's sold six ukuleles since the morning. He sold another one while I was standing there. Of course I plugged our monthly gathering...but the point is that there are more ukes getting into hands these days. All good.
