Thoughts on the Lanikai LU-21CE Concert

I've decided to upgrade my ukulele and I am on the verge of getting this uke, I just need some info on it because I can't find any reviews out there. Also can this Uke be plugged up to an amp or not?

To answer your last question first...yes, the LU-21CE has a pickup and can be plugged into an amp. My first uke was the LU-21 soprano. I think it is a decent ukulele for the money. Here is a sound sample: http://www.youtube.com/user/kc8afw#p/u/3/zp1eDgmX3c0

I own the LU-21C and the LU-21TE. I'm very satisfied with both. They have a warm, round sound, and can take quite a beating. The pickup in my TE is active, so it pumps out a lot of juice.

I'm not sure if they use the same wood in the black models as they do in the natural ones. I own the natural ones made of Nato.

Also not sure if they still use active pickups either. Got a link?
