Darn! Sad to hear. Can you use a fiberglass repair kit (http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_89197?cm_mmc=froogle-_-200-3-11-_--1-_-38-536-018-00&hvarAID=46KY&mr:trackingCode=B403D6A8-E881-DE11-B712-001422107090&mr:referralID=NA)? Since the repair solution is light, it may allow the sound vibrations to resonate. The fiberglass fabric can be wrapped around the bowl and neck area. After the solution hardens well, sand the area down and use a similar color paint, then clearcoat or varnish.

PS: I don't guess those instruments have sound holes to allow you to work from the inside so I think a fiberglass kit may be best.
Squeeze some fiberglass paste into the cracks and allow to dry, then sandpaper to avoid rattling sounds after the repairs are complete.
You'll have to bunch the fiberglass up on the damaged spot. Work in layers, lay a well-saturated patch of fiberglass cloth, let dry. Then sandpaper it down to smoothness, then place another patch over it and do over. I'd say 3 or 4 layers, sandpapering between each application. It's slow work requiring patience.
