So everyone talks about AP tuner and its so awesome(which it is if you have a pc). But i did some fiddling around online and stumbled across this .http://www.seventhstring.com/tuner/tuner.html
It uses Java but works beautifully tuning on your mac. Also garage band works well too. you just have to create a new basic real instrument track and where the time is scroll to tuning and go to work. Hope that helps my fellow mac users.
