Fremont Blacklines on mahogany tenor
Speaking of flourocarbon strings, I just strung up my mahogany tenor with Fremont Blacklines, and really like the sound.
It had Ko'Olau Golds (nylon), which were pretty old, but had low G. I've used the regular G this time and like it a bit better. These seemed a bit harder to the touch than Worth browns (flourocarbons). Another reason I got the Blacklines was that I could convert to low G with a single Blackline string.
So far, I like the Blacklines, it gives a little more punch and clarity over the old Golds on the mahogany uke. New Golds might do this as well, don't know.
