heyup uu!
i decided to learn the 4 fiinger roll a few months back and used aldrines video. i know the basic technique but have never really known if i was doing it right or for that matter, what it's supposed to sound like.

does anyone know of any ways of practising the roll or examples of how it's supposed to sound and how to use it to good effect?

cheers guys
always so helpful

I've been practicing this with all of my chords. Practice a few strum patterns on each chord, and then at the end of each pattern, give a nice roll. I've found that it works much better if I think about the individual action of each finger. Otherwise, it ends up sounding like a four-finger strum. As with most practice, it helps a lot if you practice perfectly, which means you'll have to start slow and increase your speed even slower.

I'm pretty new to strings. Are there any other tips out there from the more experienced guys and gals?
