I am looking to get a capo and was wondering which is better for the price.

Elastic capo

Lever capo

Personally I prefer lever capo's for thier speed and ease of use... The elastic ones can be awkward at times!

I use the lever type. Sometimes it gets in the way when I'm trying wrap my fingers at the first fret. I've never used the other capo but what I like about the lever is that it maintains the right pressure across the strings.

Never felt the need for a capo for a Uke, but I use a G7 on my guitar - amazing capo - if they do a uke one, you wont regret it

:agree: Haven't found the need to use a capo for a uke (yet)... and I also use a G7 on my acoustic guitar (I used to use a cheapo yet functional kyser).

I use that elastic one you posted and I have no issues at all. I do recommend it.

I use the planet waves capo on my guitars, don't need one for the uke.

I tune my ukes down a full step. When I play with others I place the capo on the 2nd fret so I don't have tune up.

I use a kyser mandolin capo. Works great.

I agree with the choice of the kyser. They are very easy to use you can take it on or off or move it in a flash. Yhey are nice and light and keep out of the way. There is a great deal on them at

i have that elastic capo.
It gets in the way A LOT for me, and I don't recommend it.

I tried a lever capo, and liked it much more.
