Hula Ukes

Anyone have any experience with the student grade HULA ukes made by Mele? How do they compare say, to Makal or Kala?

I only noticed one guy on youtube playing one and it sounded good from what I could tell. Seems like you and me are looking at the same stuff lol

I have had a Hula Uke CK-55 for about a year now - it was my first ukulele. It suprisingly stays in tune really well - although after learning a little bit about how to play I knew that I needed to upgrade the strings. But all in all it's a really decent instrument for the money. I have been pleasantly suprised.
