I'm planning to get a custom ukulele made for me and I am still debating on what tuners to get. I'm leaning towards geared Gilbert Tuners for a slotted head stock. Any suggestions?

also, any suggestions on customs case dealers? Is it necessary/ worth it?

If it is a soprano, go with friction tuners. IMHO
If you're having a custom Uku built and you are looking for a case (which I think is a must) Try asking the builder. If you want a suggestion I will give you my generic answer. Call Mike at Mianlad. I'm sure he can help you.
