How often should I change my strings?

So Since I purchased my first Uku I average between 1 - 4 hours 3 -6 days a week. I do mostly casual strumming and just statrted finger picking. Can any give me an idea how often I should be changing my strings?

It's really hard to gauge. There will however come a day when you'll play and they'll just sound kind of bleh after a long period of meh. That's when you change them.

Alternately if you run your finger under the string and can feel the indents from the frets, that's another good indication that a string change is in order.

Mostly there's no real hard and fast rule. Change them when they don't sound quite so good or when you want to try a different brand. That'll kind of depend on you and your ear. Some folks will go months and months, some a matter of weeks.
