I have been trying to decide between Geared Tuners on the sides or the Pegheads which will be on the back of the Headstock.
I realize that they are both basically geared and that they can both keep the uke in proper tuning, but are there any other advantages or disadvantages you can think of.

I just picked up my new Mya-Moe last week. It is a tenor, and I requested Pegheds. I have friction and geared tuners on other ukes. I love the Pegheads. They are very smooth and the mechanism for tightening and loosening the friction is fantastic. It's true that you get a smaller ratio with Pegheds, but how much do you really need? I haven't had a problem with lack of precision. In fact, one of the original tuners on my old Favilla soprano just died, and I'm seriously considering getting Pegheds, even though they'll cost as much as I paid for the whole uke.

The Pegheds work beautifully and have a cool vintage kind of look.

I like the pegheads; good positive action and they stay in tune well.
