I'm working on it Todd! Hopefully later this week...

And I got to thank you for making me dig around in the oldies and folkies archives - found me some nice good music I wouldn't have found without this contest!

Congratulations to country mouse on winning this one. I just listened to it and WOW! - Beautiful harmonies in her entry, so if you haven't watched it do.

Well done mouse. Its great to see people making such good progress. Looking for even better things with the new mic without the pesky background noise.

It was a great idea for a contest Todd.

Thank you very much! I'm still working on the background noise--my PC's fans make a LOT of noise, so today I'm gonna experiment with using Cat'r's Eee netbook + my Snowball mic and the Flip UltraHD camera and see what happens. :p This sure is getting complicated! LOL!

I really only noticed the background noise on your older videos (pre-Snowball). Your test video with the Snoball was fine. That Flip camera takes a great looking video, but your life would be a lot easier if you picked up a cheap USB webcam and used it with the Snowball as the microphone input in MovieMaker- no syncing required. Now that I have conquered the problem of overdriving the microphone on my Logitech 9000 webcam, I am actually thinking of letting my son have his Zoom H4n back to simplify my desktop.

Well, that might be so; but Cat'r bought this camera for me to use, and I wouldn't want to say, "Sorry, I don't want your gift." :p So of course I'm using it!

I already tried one cheap webcam before he got me the Flip, and the frame rate was too slow--it was awful!! That got sent back right away! Burned once, do not want to try again and again.

As to sound: when I relistened to my test video, I could hear the computer fan sound--still! So I'm turning off my desktop computer when I do videos. Or I'll try in another part of the house, using the Eee, Snowball, and Flip.

Bummer - thats probably why I still have my baby blue Dolphin (shields up). There is something to be said for sentimental value. By the way, I have told all my relatives not to gift me anymore ukes lol.

No worries! I LOVE my Makala Dolphin!! I have one of the laminate wood ones. I'm not sure how I'd feel about a plastic one...maybe it would be closer to a Flea, but smaller in sound? I'm tempted to get a pink one and put Hello Kitty stickers all over it!

I'd never tell my relatives NOT to give me ukuleles! Heh! They know it would be a good idea to consult with me first, though. :)
