Inserting Links to ofthreads in a post

I've seen people do this but I have not figured it out yet. Is there an easy way to insert a link to a previously read thread inside the thread you are currently reading? What I have been doing is copying the URL from the Address window and pasting it into the post. that seems to work but I was wondering if there was another way to do this. Thanks in advance.
