I know Long Island is SWARMING with uke players! Half my friends have ukes, local music stores have been selling ukes by the dozens, and no one is all that interested anymore when I say I play the uke.

But where are the SOCIAL Long Island, NY uke players? eh? anyone here? helloooo?

I thought there'd be more. Where is everyone? Maybe Dentuke is right, it could just be one acquisition heavy player.

I'm in Westbury! Didn't know there were so many ukers in the area. But then again, Long Islanders are a pretty antisocial bunch. :B Would be awesome if we could get a group started!

I still believe there are more Long Islanders out there than just us. Or even in NYC?
Is anyone planning on going to the UWC?

Sunnyside/Queens here.
I am planning on attending the Ukefest but not sure if I'll be there every day.
I will have just returned from a music festival I put on in Tampa (cough cough...JT...)

The last meet up I went to was in Brooklyn with a bunch of cool folks here from UU and the master himself...Aldrine...and of course Aaron!

ahh man, I've been so out of the ukulele-loop for the last couple of months. college got so busy so i really had to put down the uke and pick up the books.
the uke fest looks like its going to be so awesome! i cant believe its the same weekend as my cousins wedding :(

but I'm glad to come back here and see a couple of new long island ukers. we may have enough to get a group together now.

Wish you could make it to Uke Fest! :( It was awesome last year.

But we should definitely take over Eisenhower Park sometime soon, or invade Jones Beach!

I'm new to this site and I'm from West Babylon and I'm in some serious need to play with real uke players. Let's play songs.
