not really unless the tuning knobs are all on the same side?

Ah, the TUNING knobs!
I thought you were talking about the knobs on the body for the electronics...

I know there was a post on here earlier about someone having a uke with a Fender-style head, but IIRC, they had some trouble with it b/c of string tension or something...

Kanilea makes some ukes with that style of tuners. They're kind of pricey though.

G-String ukes are made with that style of headstock on request. James Hill's uke rocks that kind of tuner placement
