Does anyone even know what the Platophone is? It was made by the J.Pacheco co. in Boston but that's all I know. I think it's a banjo ukulele,it's the same size as the gretsch clarophone.Any info would be greatfull.

Thanks
Brian

Be aware that this is just what I have heard. Not verified.

I have a Clarophone and some time ago I was told that it had a value somewhere in the $60 range. Apparently it cost about $10 back in the 1928-1930 era when it was made.

I like to think that my instrument was originally owned by some Yale frat boy who was trying to get a home run with a gal from Smith just before the big crash. Five foot two, eyes of blue..........
