hey, im new to ukulele underground and i have been on tokbox about twice for the jamming haha, and i am wondering about what kind of uke i should buy next due to the warping and constant re-tuning of my -workhorse ukulele-

mainland ukes are really popular around here too. 2/3 of the people you saw jamming were probably using a mainland.

edit: Oh yeah, the owner of mainland is a member here, his name is HoosierHiver (or Mike) and he's a great guy. If you have any questions he'll help you out.

There are a lot of really nice ukes of all sizes in that price range.

Mainland
Ohana
Kala
KoAlana
Fluke & Flea
Lanikai

My main ukes are my Mainland tenor, a tenor Fluke and a soprano Flea. Can't recommend any of them highly enough.

For Pete's sake dude! Your sig is enormous! Keep it under 150 pixels in height, please.

And doesn't it sort of break the "no religious discussion" rule that UU and most other forums have?

Welcome to America.
Just to set the record straight, UU does not have a "no religion discussion" rule. I think it's just common courtesy that people choose to refrain from such topics for obvious reason. Rules: http://www.ukuleleunderground.com/forum/showthread.php?14-Ukulele-Underground-Rules

Anyways, can we please steer this subject away from the discussion, the thread has been derailed enough. If anyone has any concerns, please pm me or another mod/admin. Thanks :)

I could see how it could create a conflict. The signature definitely turns me off in a bad way since religion itself is higly political and controversial.

EDIT: Sorry, Melissa! I didn't see your post until after I posted this comment

My next Uke will be in that price range and I think im going to have to go with a Mainland myself. I will probably change my mind a few times, but i really really love the sound they put out.
