I was going to do so much more to this. Obviously I was going to lay down other layers of instrument. There are long sections just FOR that, which are probably obvious.
But when I saw it in this form, I decided to post it as it is and appreciate it in a different way than I originally intended.
By the way, near the end my sister nearly falls of the stage, and you can hear her say "oh geez!".
And to think I almost edited that all out!
Obviously, this is an original piece...
This was personally challenging for me to do in front of people, but I'm really glad I did it. It led into the day of "busking" videos I've also posted on this trip.
I didn't have the nerve to sing here, however.
This was recorded on my Flip HD and is actually bits and pieces of two takes. My sister was kind enough to be the camera person. It was a fun little editing job (and I'm not being sarcastic...)
If you're not aware of it, check out the history of the Red Rock amphtheater, to see why I let it be a big deal to play there.
I have to admit adding a bit of reverb to this since I was compromising my original vision. - Maybe more than a touch.

I've shared this piece in audio form elsewhere with an earlier vision of what I'd like a completed version to sound like. If you're interested, it's here:
