blitzkreig bop probably wouldnt fit ,, even reggae style :)

kinda stumped now, any suggestions for 3-4 more quick learned songs ,??
they are a great audience , Ive played harmonica for them, & they dont care if your good or not,, just that your there.
Thanks
Steve

"I Wanna Be Like You" from the "Jungle Book". Great on the uke.

thanks, Id forgot about them. My daughters 14 now, been a while since Ive heard them. Howlin Hobbit does" I wanna be like you"and it sounds great.

My daughter and I just did "When I'm 64," which was a breeze to learn. 6-8 year olds loved it. http://vimeo.com/8905410

i have two toddlers and highly recommend "the laurie berkner band" and "dan zanes." they both fit into the rarefied group of artists who will entertain your kids and not completely annoy you. i take the uke with us to ikea, chick-fil-a, everywhere & kids always love songs by those 2 groups/artists.

enjoy!

check out videos of them on youtube. then you can go to the following sites for their chords:

Jack Johnson's "I Can Tell That We Are Gonna Be Friends" is super easy. Someone did a photo montage of our pre-schoolers and used it as the backing track. All the moms cried (some of the dads, too...).

it is verry simple, and there is an easy picking pattern that goes with it.

Kathy Fink & Marcy Marxer do some children's songs. Thier You Tube Channel is Community Music.
You might find something there.
