I've had my eye on an Ohana SK35, but no one seems to have one. Ditto with the SK25. Demand must have exceeded expectations of demand. Anybody know when these will be back in stores? Maybe Ken can tell us.
I went to NYC with my wife this afternoon. We ended up at Matt Umanov's in the Village. They had one Ohana 35G and I have to say I was impressed by the quality of sound for the price. Played a Kamaka pineapple there too...cold day in the city...
I bought a Zebra Wood Ohana this last month....in love with it. I bought it here http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=360224544465&ssPageName=ADME:L:OU:US:1123 it was b stock. I talked to the Ohana maker and they said that means that the wood grain isn't as close together as most of their Zebra Wood (purely esthetic) , so they sell it to their dealers at a discount. I personally love how my b stock Zebra Wood SK-25Z looked. It was less expensive on top of that because it is B stock. I contacted the Ohana maker at http://www.ohana-music.com/contact.html and asked them were to get the model I wanted. They told me when they were shipping next and to what dealers. It was very helpful.
