Occupied Japan Asian Man Playing Ukulele

Those things creep me out.
 
I feel so much younger. I read "occupied" and thought he was busy...or had a job. ...wasn't vacant? This figurine is older than I am. You made my day.
 
My dad lived in occupied Japan during those years 1945 thru 1952 stationed there by the US Army. He taught himself to read and write Japanese fluently. The item may be made in Japan but the figurine is of a Chinese man playing a Chinese lute known as a Pipa:
