It snowed last night first time in years (2000?). I got bored today and made this quiz up. Test your Ukulele Knowledge. I'll post the winners. Closes on the 15th. Try to answer them without using the internet.

Thanks for embarrassing me by showing my name near the bottom of the list, although I do feel special being above two other members and an unknown. :p

Yes, I knew Tiny Tim's real name wasn't Timothy Little, but I threw it out there in the line of humor such as you did by offering an option for the name of the uke's Portugese predecessor as Zippo Lighter.

Hey, at least I didn't cheat and look up stuff. :D

When the contest is over, would you please post the questions with the answers?

A lot of the answers were pretty funny, folks got into the spirit of it. It's kind of a goofy and fun quiz (like me). Someone said the voice of Jimminy Cricket was "some old dude" Har Har. I should have put more fill in in the blank questions. ll post the answers when done and some links to where I got the information. If there is a tie I'm gonna post the "Why is the Uke called the instrument of the 21st century" question on UU and let everyone vote for the winner. No one has gotten them all correct yet.

Crap, I'd better check my source, I thought it was a Zippo Lighter.

The cemetery that houses the earthly remains of Tiny Tim is probably under a mile from where I'm currently sitting. Lakewood cemetery. I've seen the plaque.

And I don't really feel like I deserve a prize if I "win". I did double check a couple answers I wasn't sure of. I would like to disqualify myself. It's only fair.

More folks got the TT question than you would think (I wouldn't have), there were others questions that stumped a lot more folks.

No way! I put that too. Great minds think alike, even if it is only a joke. Uncanny.

I wish I'd seen the answers before I answered the quiz. And I contend that No. 9 is a trick question. I pronounce it the way I pronounce it. Oh, and it's grounds for getting the thread locked, IIRC.

Of all the folks that took the quiz all pronounced it the same way except for 2, one left it blank and the other one chose "yoo-ka-lay-lee". I was surprised how many people got it right, it was tied for the most folks answering it right, along with Tenor an Baritone scales.
