I've been watching a few sales of vintage and used Banjo Ukes on eBay, and it's amazing what people are getting for those things. The instruments don't even need to be in very good shape, and most are going for $100 - $300 or more. Since the selection of new banjoleles seems to be limited, I thought I'd check out some used ones. Maybe I'll continue my search for a new one.

Look for the introduction of a new banjolele by Mainland this summer....

Are any "Beta" versions available from Mainland yet?

My old Avalon Banjo Ukulele is what got me started playing the ukulele. I found mine, bridgeless, but in good pretty good shape, at an antique store for $175. I think they got it at an auction for $60, but they are in the business. I am just happy to have found it.

The tone sounds a lot more banjo-y now that I have an Ohana and a Luna. It is not as bright sounding as I first thought, but is still a lot of fun.
